The Story of Ted

Last Updated: May 25, 2024

Ted is a very senior Pembroke at 15 years of age, who was surrendered by his family as they no longer had time for him. Fortunately, he was noticed on a rescue site by a Corgi person, and they reached out to his owners. Ted had been living in the lower level of a home with his cat buddy, he does not get along with other dogs. He had only ever been to the vet once. He had what looked like an infected eye, a horrible coat and it was badly matted under his collar suggesting it likely had never been off. He has IVDD, colitis, hearing & vision issues and is unable to do stairs. Ted’s rescuer took him on knowing that they could give him a safe area with a ramp and care for him for the time he has left. They also got a bonus in the deal – as Ted’s cat buddy had to come with him. Ted had the usual senior exams and tests and preventatives. Ted is a hospice rescue, and will be well cared for with his kitty pal by his side for the time he has left.
