The Story of Harrison

Last Updated: September 26, 2023

Harrison was surrendered to rescue after his family decided to move and didn't want to take him along. Harrison was morbidly obese, had a cherry eye (a common term for popping out of the third eyelid gland) and was experiencing diarrhea.
He underwent general testing and had the usual preventative care - flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, routine dental care, and vaccinations. After losing a significant amount of weight, so he could go under anesthesia, his eye was repaired while he was under for his dental work. He had been treated multiple times for diarrhea and vomiting – but it is felt that a change to a senior diet will help him with that.
