The Story of Bettina

Last Updated: March 21, 2026

Bettina’s, and 3 other Corgis, owner passed away. The housekeeper did not know who to contact so they kept them caged at the house for 9 months – living in their own filth. After a referral from a local rescue group, a Corgi rescue was contacted. The rescue group had a client who had adopted from them before and contacted the client. The client drove out of state and picked up all three dogs. They were in bad shape, needed medical care and to be neutered or spayed. Bettina was in a little better shape than the 3 that were rescued that day but she was overweight. She was examined, had tests, lab work, and it was determined that she had skin disorders including mange, trauma (accident or abuse) related disorders and a UTI. She was spayed, treated and received preventative treatments, including vaccines. She is now living in a loving and caring home.
