The Story of Princess

Last Updated: September 20, 2025

Rescuer: Nicole Gallagher at nicole@murphyspaw.org

Princess, was an owner surrender to rescue. Her owner said she was working too much and Princess was home alone day and night (even overnight). Upon pickup they instantly saw that Princess was absolutely infested in fleas...so badly that she had scratched off sections of her fur because she was so uncomfortable. But even worse...she was peeing blood...A LOT of blood. After a thorough grooming and flea bath/treatment she was rushed to the vet. X-Rays revealed had two huge bladder stones. The rescue immediately has her scheduled for surgery, after which, she was a completely different dog. She went from meek and uncomfortable to happy, playful and affectionate in her foster home. She also had ear infections that were treated. She received flea/tick prevention, vaccines, tests, blood work, heartworm test, X-rays and a urinalysis.

This dog is available for adoption. Please contact Nicole Gallagher at nicole@murphyspaw.org for more information.
