The Story of Peanut 2025

Last Updated: December 21, 2025

Corgi rescue was contacted by Peanut's previous owner, who ended up with Peanut after a breakup with their partner. They had an older cattle dog (and has had the dog since it was a puppy) that didn't do well with an energetic corgi bouncing off of her. There were a few scuffles and they were afraid the situation would escalate. They had also moved into a home where there was no fence. Unfortunately, while Peanut was much loved, it just wasn’t feasible to keep him. They reached out to Corgi rescue for help. Peanut was seen in a Facebook post and was adopted by a couple that had adopted from the rescue in the past, but lost their dog to degenerative myelopathy (DM). Long story short, with a happy ending, Peanut is now in a loving home. Peanut received preventative treatments and was spayed while in rescue.
