Mandy was surrendered into rescue along with her brother Mickey after their original owners were no longer able to keep them, and their family then decided to surrender the two dogs to rescue. In her medical exam, it was determined that Mandy needed dental work and had endocrinal disorders. She had bladder stone surgery prior to coming into rescue and will require a food to help control them going forward. She received the usual preventative treatments; flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, microchipping, spay/neuter and vaccinations. She also had dental work to care for her mouth, an ultrasound to due to her elevated liver enzymes and she had a lump aspirated for cytology.
