Billie

In loving memory of Billie - 13 years old, went to the Rainbow Bridge April 9, 2007

Billie was an amazing dog who touched so many people during her life. Everyone who met her could tell she was something special, especially with those huge ears!!

Billie came into my life at my lowest point, when everything seemed dark and I didn't care about anything anymore. She loved me when I was too down and out to love myself, and brought the light and joy back into my life. Billie taught me how to how to live again, how to be happy, and how to love another being so completely. She saved my life, and will always be my Guardian Angel.

She was lucky enough to have two of the most caring and thoughtful vets watching over her in her battle with cancer. With the help of her doctors, she was able to fight back and beat the odds for so long. When it was time to let her go, they came to our home, where Billie was most comfortable. I can never thank them enough for allowing my friends and family to say goodbye to her in such a beautiful and touching way.

I am lost without her in my life, and remember her every minute of every day. I am a better person for having her in my life, and hope I grow up to be half the person she believed I could be.

Billie, my Baby Girl, I will miss you always!

*I ONLY WANTED YOU

They say memories are golden

well maybe that is true

I never wanted memories,

I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you,

a million times I cried.

If love alone could have saved you

you never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly,

In death I love you still.

In my heart you hold a place

no one could ever fill.

If tears could build a stairway

and heartache make a lane,

I'd walk the path to heaven

and bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken,

and nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one,

the chain will link again.
