Dorothy E. Allington Beddow went to be with the Lord June 11, 2018.
She was born in Port Huron, MI, Dec. 20, 1930, but lived in St. Clair until she was married. Dorothy and her family lived in Royal Oak and then in Harrison Township, MI, for several years until they moved to Seminole, FL, in 1973.
She is survived by her daughter, LuAnn Beddow Curran and son-in-law Jeff Curran; nieces, Lisa (Scott) Zisler, Lori (Bernd) Wewelsiep, Linda (Tony) Cunha, Carolyn (Gary) Weil, Barbara (Gouch) Nicolai, Nancy (Terry) Millard, Beverly (David) Corwin; nephews, Robert L. Allington, Richard R. Allington, Jerry and (Marie) Meldrum; in addition to several great nieces & great nephews. Dorothy is also survived by a brother, Richard W. Allington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Beddow; her parents, Robert Allington and Gertrude Westrick Allington; niece, Sharon Socia and nephew, James Kettel.
Dorothy was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd for many years. She did volunteer work for Suncoast Hospice of Florida and was also a volunteer for the Pinellas County School District (Pinellas Park Elementary). Prior to that, she was employed by Chrysler Corporation in Centerline, MI, for almost 25 years and at the Molloy Motel in Treasure Island, FL.
