CorgiAid's primary goal is to help homeless corgis get healthy, so they can find loving families to live with for the rest of their lives.
CorgiAid's ability to help once a dog has been adopted is extremely limited. The dog must have been adopted very recently, and the condition for which aid is wanted must clearly have existed at the time of the adoption.
Griffin's case is within our guidelines, as he was heartworm-positive when adopted.
Here is his story:
"Adopted from City of Dallas Animal Services shelter on 1/25/2011. Found out after adoption that he is heartworm positive. they neutered him on 1/24 and we brought him home the day after. They had no history on him as he was picked up as a stray."
CorgiAid supporters will help Griffin get rid of those nasty heartworms, so he can go forward and lead the happy life he deserves. Thank you!
