Dude's owner passed away and no family member wanted him. A neighbor took him in to keep him safe and from going to the shelter which has a high kill rate due to the very rural area. The neighbor contacted rescue to take him in. Dude had Valley Fever and received treatment for that, along with the usual tests, vaccines and preventative medications.
