Rescuer: Amory Thomas at ntaicorgirescue@gmail.com
Princess was surrendered to a shelter in Kentucky after her owner returned home from being hospitalized. While the owner was hospitalized Princess was being kept by a friend. After being discharged from the hospital, the owner discovered that a few days before, Princess was not able to use her back legs. She had not been vetted and the owner couldn’t afford the expenses for a veterinary visit for her legs. The shelter veterinarian suspected a disc issue. Princess was pulled by a Corgi rescue and taken for medical assessment. It has been determined that her inability to walk is due to IVDD and she is currently being treated and cared for with hope that she will recover.
