Here is Jenny's story, in the words of her rescuer:
"Miss Jenny was saved by her human Mom from an abusive home when she was about a year old. She lived happily with her Mom and then her new Dad for many years, then this past summer Mom had surgery and passed away. Jenny was not as close to her new Dad and he had to move into a studio apt. and then work far away leaving her alone for 14-15 hours a day. He couldn't do this to her so contacted me.
"Jenny is a very timid girl. She is very wary of everyone she meets at first. Men especially frighten her. Once she gets to know you, she will allow you to pet her, although she prefers to be left alone and taken on walks.
"Jenny's growth on her eye was huge and although it was not cancerous, it was starting to scratch the cornea and causing her poor vision to be worse. The growths on her body that were removed, she was scratching at and some were just bleeding on their own. For her comfort, we removed them."
Jenny also needed some dental work. She is feeling much happier and more peppy now that her eye and her mouth are comfortable.
CorgiAid supporters will help with the expense of getting Jenny comfortable, so she can lead the happy retirement she deserves. Thank you!
