Here is Sadie's story, in the words of her rescuer:
"Sadie came from the shelter. She was turned in by her family and was skin and bones. They claimed she would not eat."
Could not draw any nutrition from her food, is the real story.
Sadie's pancreas does not make the enzymes she needs in order to be able to digest her food.
Luckily, nowadays we know what to do about this. Enzymes can be purchased, and mixed with food before it is eaten. The enzymes pre-digest the food, making it possible for a dog with this condition to survive and thrive -- as long as they get their enzymes!
CorgiAid supporters have helped Sadie get diagnosed, and have purchased her first supply of enzymes. Thank you!
