The Story of Ellie

Last Updated: August 20, 2010

Rescuer: Marianne Hastey at

Here is Ellie's story, in the words of her rescuer:
"Ellie came from a breeder situation in MO.She is a sweet Corgi that wanted a lot of love. She was a special needs girl. My vet felt that she was born with this strange deformity that made her hop instead of run. My vet felt that she would be fine in a home that did not go on long walks or hikes & in a single level house. She had a rescue corgi that she was bonded to at my house that was not one of the ones that came in with her from MO.
"The wonderful family that adopted him also took Ellie. I was afraid that it was going to be very hard to find someone in my area that did not mind that she couldn't be as active as they wanted.
"This home was so perfect as the mother-in-law lived with them & wanted her own couch dog that wanted lots of love."
CorgiAid supporters will help with the expense of getting Ellie shined up on health care, so she can go forward into her happy future. Thank you!
