Higby: Granted August 14, 2010

The Story of Higby

Last Updated: August 14, 2010

Rescuer: Beth Vogel at

Here is Higby's story, in the words of his rescuer:
"Higby was found by a friend of mine who lives out in the country. He was wandering in the middle of Higby Rd. with a gash on his head, covered with fleas and ticks. My friend couldn't keep him so after a search to find his owners, I told him to bring him here and I would find him a home. Since then, I have had him groomed and taken him to the vet for an evaluation, tests and vaccinations.
"He seems to love all people and dogs and although I don't have cats, a friend of mine does and he ignored the cat at her house!
"Higby is a very calm, sweet, intelligent dog. He is housetrained, knows "sit" and "shake", and has learned his new name very quickly (he does prefer a British accent). I can walk him off lead with my dogs at the park and he comes when I call him."
CorgiAid supporters will help Higby get shined up on his health care, so he can lead the happy life he deserves. Thank you!
