Coco Joy: Granted December 17, 2008

The Story of Coco Joy

Last Updated: December 17, 2008

Here is Coco's story, in the words of her rescuer:
"Coco's first and second owners have both passed away. She was then taken in by a friend of second owner, who could no longer care for her. We got a call to help this "corgi" with papers. Papers of course were from a shelter back when second owner had adopted. She was very confused when we picked her up, but is settling in now. She had been to the groomer before we got her and they had her shaved down, which we then learned she had a horrible skin infection and some scar over her right front paw, looks like may have been caught in a fence at one time. We have treated the skin infection and given her a dental and she is coming along nicely.
"She is very interested in other dogs and adores people and her scratches and to cuddle.
"Coco came to us with only some paperwork from the shelter she was adopted from. It says she is approx. 7 - 8 yrs old, but she may be a bit older. They too have her marked as a corgi mix. Her crooked little legs, her head and her personality all come thru corgi. She is truly a sweet little thing. Her skin infection caused her to chew herself to sores and bleeding. She only eats her green beans though, if they are chopped up in her food. She will not eat them whole. She will pick them out and drop them by the side of her dish, if not chopped up."
CorgiAid supporters have helped Coco get up to speed on health care (including a clean and healthy mouth), so she can live the healthy life she deserves. Thank you!
