Here is Wilson's story, in the words of his rescuer: "On 7/12/08 ForPaws Corgi Rescue took four male purebred Pems from the Heartland Shelter in Ottumwa, Iowa. The shelter has been pulling dogs from a massive puppy mill seizure during the past six months, as they're able to take them. Kelly is one of those puppy mill rescues.
"More information about these dogs can be found on the ForPaws Blog, http://4thedogz.blogspot.com/
"None of these four dogs has ever shown any sign of aggression. That is true for our experience with them in foster care, as well as what was reported to us by shelter personnel. These dogs were in the shelter from April 24-July 12, 2008.
"On the day of Wilson's arrival at the home of his foster person he climbed into her lap and kissed her face. He knew he'd been rescued!
"Wilson is the most "serious" of the four. He is just beginning to figure out that being on the "outside" in the real world isn't a dream! He's a bit more reserved, but we're starting to see him smile more now and is beginning to trust his foster person."
CorgiAid supporters will help Wilson with his health care needs, so he can go forward and live a happy and healthy life. Thank you!
