Lulu is a rescue from a NC shelter. She tested positive for Heartworm when pulled for vetting, prior to transport to her foster home in CT. She arrived in CT mid-August and promptly went in to heat. This delayed the beginning of her HW treatment but she successfully came thru the first treatment which was done in mid-September. She had one episode 11 days after the treatment and had to be rushed back to our vet: she was not eating, lethargic and seemed to have trouble breathing but she is fine now. She cannot be spayed until several weeks after her 2nd HW treatment.
CorgiAid supporters will help Lulu get rid of those nasty heartworms, so she can get ready to live with her forever family. Thank you!
