Here is Nelson's story, in the words of his rescuer:
"The local humane society contacted us about this little guy. He was picked up as a stray and no one ever came for him. After the required hold period, Nelson came into rescue.
"He's a good little guy. He hasn't ever learned any manners about jumping. If you bend over to pet him, he often dances on his back legs and sometimes jumps up and bumps you in the face. He's desperate for attention and there is no aggression that is coupled with his jumping up.
"Nelson is not well bred dog at all. We suspect he may be from our area mass producer that cranks them out every chance she gets. His behavior to me suggests that he was left outside in the yard with very little attention. He's quite active, jumping all around and up on a person to get attention. But he's a nice, extremely happy boy that will be a loving pet to someone with a bit of experience and patience."
CorgiAid supporters have helped Nelson get up to speed on his health care, so he can continue working on learning his manners, and move on into the next happy chapter of his life. Thank you!
Nelson was rescued in Texas.
