As much as we all wish that every rescue story could have a happy ending, reality is not that gentle or kind.
Here is Copper's story, in the words of his rescuer:
"Copper and his buddy Blue lost their homes due to their owner getting married and the new husband demanding they go. Both dogs were heartworm positive, but Copper also had a urinary tract infection and some arthritis and an old injury that caused him to be very painful. His injuries and illness were so severe that after a long discussion with our vet, it was decided that given his age and physical condition, the kindest thing to do for him would be to let him go."
CorgiAid supporters have helped with Copper's final expenses. Thank you.
