The Story of Dottie

Last Updated: May 26, 2015

Here is Dottie's story, in the words of her rescuer:
"Dottie's owner died and she went to live with relatives. They didn't really want dogs so they just put her in the backyard with their male heeler. She got pregnant and produced one puppy. Eventually the family just got tired of feeding Dottie and her pup, so they called rescue. Dottie's puppy, Drew, was adopted quickly, but Dottie had heartworm so she had to stay with us a little longer. Her new family waited patiently while she went through treatment and she was adopted as soon as she was cleared by our vet. Now she has her own fairy princess to watch over her."
CorgiAid supporters have helped Dottie get rid of those nasty heartworms, so she could move on into the next happy chapter of her life. Thank you!
Dottie was rescued in Oklahoma.
