CorgiAid's main goal is to help homeless corgis (and corgi mixes) get healthy, so they can find permanent loving homes.
Once in a while a newly-adopted dog has a health issue that is discovered very shortly after adoption. CorgiAid may be able to help a dog in this situation retain that brand new home, by helping with the expense of dealing with that health issue.
Batman is one of these dogs. Within a week of the time he was adopted, he developed a very nasty cough, and needed hospitalization for pneumonia.
Here is Batman's story, in the words of his rescuer:
"I recently adopted this cute little corgi mix from the shelter. He is the most loving dog I have ever met! I named him Batman in honor of the caped crusader:)
"He had a horrible case of kennel cough but I knew something was wrong. A few days later I rushed him to the hospital to find out he had pneumonia. He was coughing so much he couldn't even eat. He looked so sad at the vets office and since he had to stay for boarding, he was in a cage once again. I can't wait to pick him up from the hospital. I don't want him to think I abandoned him."
CorgiAid supporters have helped Batman with the expense of a trip to emergency, diagnosis, and treatment for pneumonia. Thank you! He is feeling much better now.
This dog is not available for adoption.
