Here is Kai's story, in the words of his rescuer:
"Kai was an owner surrender. Kai had been given to them by a family member who could no longer care for him and unfortunately, they thought they could but with two children, they did not have enough finances to care for him. Working at a Chinese food restaurant, Kai ate only Chinese food and what other "scraps" they could find...he definitely was NOT starving, as with many Corgis, the pounds added up.
"Kai gets along with everyone and everything he meets....
"Kai LOVES kids!!! He has "adopted" a complete baseball team of 12 - 13 yr olds at his foster home. So much so, when they all went in the pool, Kai followed....caught him quickly and he was fine...."
CorgiAid supporters are helping with the expense of getting Kai's health issues diagnosed and treated. Thank you!
Kai was rescued in Arizona.
