The Story of Maxx

Last Updated: November 21, 2013

Here is Maxx's story, in the words of his rescuer:
"Meet Maxx....this sweet senior was 'found as a stray' in Beaufort SC. A month prior his owners tried to surrender him to the shelter & Director asked if she could place him on facebook to see if he could be placed..she hated to see a senior in shelter conditions. They were supposed to come back 3 days later and were a no show. Obviously Maxx was loved: He's housebroken/crate trained/walks beautifully on a leash, adores car rides and loves his Foster Mom and Dad. The shelter shared he had dry eye & he came w/ medicine. His eyes were very infected /obviously painful and Maxx was taken to foster Mom's vet and on the right medication now. He's a sturdy boy for his age and is building up his strength with walks. He had a trip to the dog park and fell in love with other corgis there & asked to go back soon. Due to his age, I'm hoping we can be as successful in placing Maxx as we have w/ 4 other seniors we've placed this year; Foster Mom has no qualms about keeping him until the right home comes along or providing a forever home."
CorgiAid supporters have helped Maxx get the health care he needed, including diagnosis and meds for his eyes, and a clean and healthy mouth, so he can go forward and live a happy retirement. Thank you!
Maxx was rescued in South Carolina.
