As much as we all want every rescue story to have a happy ending, sometimes that is just not what happens.
Here is R.T.'s story, in the words of his rescuer:
"R.T. was a stray dropped off at Vet's office. They contacted AZCCR to take him in. He came to us very dirty and unkempt and intact. He was a very sweet boy. We did his labwork and after 6 days with us, we started to do his neuter and microchip. We had already vaccinated him on intake. When we shaved his abdomen, a mass was noted, that had not been felt on exam, as at that time his abdomen was very tense, but under anesthetic, it was there. Proceeded with surgery to see what the mass was and thought we would continue with neuter.
"Unfortunately, the mass was wrapped so tightly around his bladder only a small amount of bladder could be located. The decision was made to euthanize, as the tumor was inoperable and it wouldn't be long before he started truly suffering."
CorgiAid supporters have helped with the R.T.'s medical expenses, including his final expenses. Thank you.
